Retired Marine, Dairy Goat Herdsman (hence the nickname "the goat"), and Motorcycle Enthusiast, Don is an expert level road racer specializing in small displacement machines. In 2012 Don’s first ever race was a 24hr endurance. Since then, Don has gone on to race (10) 24hr races, (5) seasons with Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association (CVMA), (4) seasons with Washington Motorcycle Road Racing Association (WMRRA), and a host of mini-moto sprint and endurance races, wining class championships in every org raced. Don is also the current 2023 WMRRA Rider Rep.
When not racing, Don is a Senior Instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School. He is also the Yamaha Sport Bike Demo Program Manager in the Pacific Northwest, a Ken Hill Coaching Master Moto Pilot Instructor, and an Instructor and Course Marshal for the PNW’s premium track day organizations Track Time, 2Fast, and Moto Vixens. Don believes that every rider has the potential to be an expert-level rider. With the desire to improve, the focus and effort to try new things, and the eye of a skilled instructor to guide the way, no goal is beyond reach. “Only a fool learns from their own mistakes.
